Privacy policy

Acrodore Tech handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy covers this website. Client engagements are governed separately by the data protection terms in the relevant statement of work.

01What we collect

From the enquiry form

You provide
Your name, company name, work email address and the description of the problem you write.
How it reaches us
The form does not send anything to a server. It opens your own mail client with the details filled in, and nothing is transmitted until you press send. Your enquiry arrives as an ordinary email.
Collected automatically
Nothing. This site runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no third-party scripts, and it sets no cookies.

Your email provider and ours will handle the message as they handle any email, including the technical headers every email carries.

02How we use it

Purpose and handling

We use what you send to respond to you and to work out whether we can help. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you emailed us.

Storage
Enquiries live in our email system, Google Workspace, and in our records of the engagement if one follows.
Overseas
Google may store or process that email outside Australia, including in the United States.
Retention
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within 24 months.
Model training
Nothing you send us is used to train any AI model, by us or by anyone else.
03Your rights

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact@acrodoretech.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

04Security

How it is protected

This site is served over TLS. Access to stored enquiries is restricted to Acrodore Tech personnel who need it, behind multi-factor authentication. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Changes to this policy are published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients are notified directly.
